Pay, they do pay well above local average for almost all positions. However after some time and experience in the clinic it feels like a tactic to try to prevent people form leaving. The health insurance plans they offer are also good.
Cons
Seattle Pain Relief does not do direct deposit. You get paper checks on pay day, or the Friday before pay day. Sometimes the checks aren't distributed until after 3pm. Seattle Pain Relief is the most chaotically ran office I've ever been in. No one here lasts, the turn over rate is incredibly high - medical assistants, front desks, billers, even providers and managers. The work environment and culture is created to be stressful, intimidating, and will always lead to burn out. This clinic is not ran with patients in mind. This clinic is ran as a hugely for profit business. The owner is always starting a new "thing" to try to bill and just make more money. There was this new injection the owner started having the provider push that he was told would have a huge reimbursement rate. He said all patients on "pain contracts" needed to be switched to telehealth, and since we weren't seeing them in person these visits had to be done every 14 days; meaning he could now bill 2-3 office visits per month per patient. Even the patients that wanted to come into the office to be seen just once a month, and in turn only pay one copay a month, were told no they had to be done in office. The owner is a Dr without an active license in WA, this is public information and can be googled. The front desk is not provided any training also leading to patients falling through the cracks and getting upset. They are not required to retain any information. Patients are constantly seen without referrals and procedures are done without telling billing to obtain an authorization.
