Good pay, poor leadership - Regional Technical Sales Manager Schaltbau Employee Review

The company used to be a great place to work with a great atmosphere and great employee relationships. Early finish on a Friday is a pro.

The MD uses bullying tactics to scaremonger employees to get things done, threatening their roles, swearing at them. Has been rude and arrogant to customers. No wonder the business is under performing with the moral the way it is. Every day attending work wondering if you are his next target to get rid of - something needs to be done by the Schaltbau group!

Reasonable location. Good size building with potential for growth. If you want to sit back and cruise along then nobody seems to mind.

Little or no leadership provided by the senior management. Departmental managers are powerless to make any effective changes. Family members work throughout the business making for an unhealthy and mistrustful atmosphere. There's an awful lot of telling tales and there are people in positions for which they lack the necessary experience and qualifications. Pay is minimal and so is annual leave - just 20 days per year. There are no benefits or perks. Not even a Christmas drink (although the MD did buy himself a Lambourghini). The workforce is treated with contempt and a take it or leave attitude. Moral is terrible.
