Pros
I’ve enjoyed my time at Sargento. Great opportunities to grow and advance. I’ve also learned so much. If you genuinely put in the work (not just feel you’re entitled to advancement) at most of the plants and do a great job you WILL be rewarded for your hard work. Great tuition reimbursement program, benefits are good. Company incentives around the holidays are nice and appreciated. I have a long list of opportunities below, but I feel like they could change soon and see myself with Sargento for a long time. Also, with every company there are good and bad things. The good definitely outweighs the bad for me.
Cons
A lot of Production employees get top pay around the community and work in great conditions for a manufacturing environment but are very rude and unappreciative. Makes decent Leadership not want to stay around. Tenured managers sitting in the same spot for a long time makes it hard for positions to become open. Also hinders change management throughout the department if they’re resistant to change. Some plants have the good ole boy club or you need to know a lot about sports to fit in. Just have to figure out which plant(s) to not spend time on trying to apply.
