Pros
Most of the reps are right out of college- so the office has a young, fun, and friendly feel. The supervisor and manager are both very approachable and willing to answer any questions. The training period is also detailed and helpful. All of the reps are very friendly and seem to really care for each other. The pay and benefits are also great for young professionals. The job is simple- call companies to learn about their shipping and try to get them to try Saia and set up a meeting with a sales rep. You are given questions to ask and have opening and closing statements on the calls. The manager will also give you feedback to help you improve your calls and has motivational meetings throughout the week. You also get to manage your day however you like as long as you meet simple daily goals that are very obtainable. The department is expanding this year due to the departmental success this far. You get plenty of breaks as well. It is overall a nice job and work environment.
Cons
The Johns Creek location is inconvenient for almost everyone in the office, as young professionals prefer living closer to the downtown area and sit in traffic long periods of time everyday. The office itself seems old and outdated. Also, during the interview I was told I could pick what hours I wanted, but was given different hours than I picked when I began. The hours are based on what region you are assigned, which seems to be random.
