Management will invent reasons not to pay you, Company isn't registered to do business in NYS and can't sue, so drops price for customers that are dissatisfied until they pay something. Contractors should put liens on customers and be paid before parent company gets paid. Manage will try to talk you out of placing liens to get paid, making it too late to place liens once finance company has paid on behalf of client. Company will make you wait two months for payment, and then not pay you. As an independent contractor, you have less protections than you would as an employee, and may not be able to collect any moneys owed by company. Company asks you to sign a lopsided contractor agreement, making installer responsible for everything, don't sign it. Company will have you driving everywhere.
