Pros
Overtime is almost always available and 3-5 months of this year has been double time. The Lower Level Employees, Production Supervisors and down are really nice.
Cons
$10 dollars an hour starting pay is what you can make working for Fast Food companies starting out and you will not be able to kill someone if you make a mistake at McDonalds, but you "could" at Safecor. They love telling us this so that we pay attention however not paying enough base salary so that people don't have to work overtime or second jobs lends itself to lots of errors on behalf of tired worn out employees. Also Temp to Hire workers make more per hour after becoming Full time, than Full Time Employees who have been with the company for years. An example is that a Full time worker gets $10 per hour if they are then promoted to Tech 2 or to the Shipping Department they will get $1 more dollar per hour, so $11.00 per hour. Now Temp to Hire employees make $11.00 per hour however they can't get overtime which is how this is sold to the full time employees. However if the temps decide to become Full Time they will then receive $11.50 an hour. Which means after just a few months working as a temp they make more per hour than an employee who has been with the company for a year or more and "EARNED" a promotion. And then after the end of that year they both will receive a 3% raise adding even more insult.
