The real trouble started when SRS was bought by an investment firm a couple of years ago. They started driving unrealistic deliverable schedules and hired a goon as development manager to coerce, threaten and bully people into working 60+hour weeks. One high level manager even promised at a department meeting that their would be bonuses if schedules were met, This turned out to be untrue, because schedules were met but no bonuses were payed.
Sometimes things have a wonderful way of resolving themselves. The two managers above were shown the door because it became obvious they were incompetent and the investment firm is left with a product that is, to be kind, sub-par and unmaintainable.
