Pros
Most staff genuinely care about helping seniors
Cons
I can only speak for the office staff and not for the front-line staff who actually work with seniors, but the management is terrible (and it’s evident in the very high turnover rate their office staff have). I’m sure their hearts are in the right place but they micromanage to its fullest extent! Those in upper management do not know how to trust others to do their job and controlled every aspect of their work. No room for creativity as they always had a very specific vision and if you didn’t follow it exactly (which you never can since you’re not in their head) they took it over and did it themselves. No work-life balance either as you were expected to reply to emails well after working hours. Some in upper management were not expected to respond to emails (while others were) even if you needed something urgent from them so it was impossible to communicate effectively. Management also has trouble with confrontation and problem-solving so they'd get others to do it for them. I’m sure many of them genuinely care about seniors and want to help them but there’s a reason there’s such a high turnover at this company and I don’t think they’re doing anything effective to solve it.
