- met some great people through the charity - supporting students with their career goals was rewarding
Cons
- high staff turnover and haphazard approach to recruitment - information lost when staff left, due to blasé approach to handover - seen as same as other private players in the market, leading to a very corporate approach, sponsors are viewed like clients - made to take on extra responsibility with no opportunities to progress or thanks for doing so - low pay, even for the charity sector, very difficult to negotiate higher pay or bonus to reflect hard work - childish approach taken when I handed in my notice, which confirmed my decision to leave
