Pros
The flexibility in schedule is good if you have kids Not a lot of micromanagement so you aren’t pressured to get things done all that quickly Holiday dinner is usually nice but not held outside of work
Cons
Not a lot of management..you can practically be up away from your desk for 4-6 hours a day and not get in trouble for not working. Previously, there was access to YouTube on the work computers and you could catch people watching YouTube videos all day. Owner has said that all employees under him are like his little white mice.. The lack of care from the company or management shows in people’s attitudes towards each other. People will walk in front of you and not hold a door for someone behind them. People don’t respond to “good morning” or “how are you?” Inadequate staffing causes tension in departments. People seem to think their issues are worse than the next so they act as though everything you do is a direct attack on them and/or their work ethic. Inadequate training, you can be hired for a position and not know anything about the products and services provided. *honestly, I wouldn’t recommend working here unless you were in the family or applying for a job at the top of the totem pole. If you’re an honest person, who likes to do a good job and be cordial with your coworkers, find somewhere else that will allow you to be yourself. A lot of grumpy people who feel like they’re stuck remain there. If you’re in the family or if you’ve contacted the parent company for an issue you have indemnity for life and will never be fired for poor performance or lack of attendance.
