It's not a disadvantage, but you need to have agency and some level of self-awareness to succeed in the team. Being prepared, thinking how can you help and taking ownership from end-to-end for your work is essential. It might be challenging for people coming from bigger orgs with more narrow roles. The company is in the growth stage, so you need to understand that everything around you will constantly change (which is actually an advantage IMO)

Rivero is a company where you feel that you matter, both as a person and as a professional. All company documents and processes are open for workers, conversations are open, honest and transparent, and hierarchy is very horizontal so you can have real impact and a opinion that's considered, no matter your position or seniority. The company tries to adapt and accomodate to new-joiners as much as they're expected to do the same. Salary and performance reviews are just and follow clear guidelines, so you can always know in which position you are and have realistic expectations on where you're growing to.

Since some of the processes are a bit informal and flexible, sometimes the remote workers need to take an extra step to stay connected and follow threads proactively. All important decisions are discussed or communicated in the public company channels, but the small conversations leading there may be missed if the remote people don't try to keep track.
