Pros

You have a job.......I guess... well no its more like your a decently paid slave 6 days a week......sometimes 7. Not sure who they hate more their customers or employees.

Cons

Republic is currently going through the same idiocy Walmart did. It currently believes working over its employees is more important then working its business. It's current business plan is to over charge and under service their customers. If the customers leave (which they are in droves, whole cities even) Republic sues them. Republic professes that it cares about safety. It does not. Most of their trucks would not pass a decent D.O.T. inspection. A driver complains or refuses to drive it and he will have a write up before the end of the week. And the mandatory safety training required by the various gov. agencies? Here driver sign this meeting roster. No time for meetings or training. Look up Republics "Break Him Off" policy. Is still around in one form or another.

Pros

We used to have to come in every morning and stay in the office for at least an hour, then go out into the field, come back at least an hour before 5pm and stay in the office. They changed it so we only have to come in in the morning and it's so much nicer.

Cons

I really didn't get along with the sales manager. On my first day, the manager who hired me announced he was leaving. About two weeks into my employment, the new sales manager wanted to make crazy changes to show his authority. It went downhill from there. He made major cutbacks and the things he kept where supposed to be thought of as gifts, such as bottled water.
