Cons
I am hoping to warn others who are considering joining this company, as my experience with Refactor was strange and alarming. I was hired for a sales position, not only because of my sales experience, but because of the amount of connections in the industry they are targeting. I was able to make several connections and introductions between my network and leadership, and right as two contracts were sent out, I was let go without being provided any reason. This all happened within 3 months. In these three months, I was not provided negative feedback on my performance, put on a performance plan, etc. I was only provided positive feedback on how well I was doing in my short time there. I do live in an At Will state, so although legally you can be dismissed without reason, myself nor anyone I know has been provided literally ZERO reason and I was told that they were not "allowed" to say why. Overall, it felt as if I was used to make introductions to my connections, and then discarded when they felt they got what they needed. Legal counsel advised I look into my contract to see if there was a 90 day probationary period, to which there was none nor any conversation about being in a 3 month probationary period. Another factor in this bizarre experience is I unfortunately sustained a severe back injury right before a company trip, which was solely a team bonding experience, and was unable to attend. I went to my primary care physician who wrote a note advising I do not attend. shortly after the team returned, I was let go. I must add as well for this team bonding trip that they share an Airbnb and have members of the opposite gender share rooms together in bunk beds. I was not aware of the sharing of rooms until the team returned, but if you are uncomfortable with this, I would consider it before joining. Personally, I found this to be highly inappropriate and unprofessional. All together, my time at Refactor was not only extremely short, but upon reflection, strange. I would be very cautious about considering accepting an offer here and introducing anyone in your network to their recruiting service.
