Pros
Cane’s is growing. There are opportunities that lie within that, if you know how to advocate and push yourself forward. There are constant openings. The Growth Team itself is an opportunity like no other. What other company allows teams of Crew Trainers to travel for weeks or months, great per diem, great mileage, hotels, travel fees etc? As crew trainers? That’s a fantastic opportunity, out the gate. Compensation is great compared to a variety of resturaunt services. The environment can be so much fun if the machine is well-oiled. The way communication is a required standard makes connections easier than most.
Cons
That being said, being able to manage upward is a required skill. Relocation for promotion is almost mandatory. If promoting to management, handling stress is a required skill. Thinking fast. Planning work and working a plan at the drop of a dime. It is a very hard transition for externals due to the push for company’s culture, mission, and vision. If that’s the type of business you like, you’ll thrive. If not, it will be a struggle. The business team has been pushing very hard for good results in these trying times. Day to day is very stressful if you cannot manage your stress.
