Pros

The group of people I work with are great

Cons

You cannot trust the leadership in this company. We were told in early 2022 that our work from home abilities were going to stay that way. We hired people based on this understanding. It was working beautifully and people had an amazing work life balance. This year they decided to pull the rug out from under us and pull an RTO stunt that sent dozens of people packing and moving on to companies that respect them. What leadership didn’t understand is the WFH abilities we had were the only, and I mean ONLY, incentive to staying here. Other firms pay more, have more PTO, give bonuses, give more than cost of living raises to those who earned it, have cheaper benefits, treat their employers respectfully and do not lie. Our CEO has been caught spreading lies about what other firms are doing in order to keep people from leaving. The “research” they claimed they used that proved RTO makes companies more profitable was also proven false. He claims the majority of the company wants the RTO when really it is less than 10%. We have lost amazing staff since this policy was announced. People who have worked here for 20+ years. Yet, the CEO and COO (who is fairly new to this company) will not back down. What kind of leader are you if you can’t admit when you made a mistake? They talk to us like we are mindless robots. They think we will stay because we are an ESOP. No one really cares about the ESOP money anymore as in a year or so this company will probably be worthless anyway. Our CEO’s legacy will be that he destroyed a once awesome and strong engineering firm. And his sidekick in doing so is the COO. We have some groups here that have decent regional directors and VPs. But there are other groups that have terrible regional directors and terrible VPs. Those groups seem to be losing the most people. No one has your back here. If you have a problem or an issue with a project or client, or anything really, consider yourself on your own. They won’t provide much help because they don’t care enough about their own groups. This is directly related to how the company is being led. There is no trust in leadership anymore. So much so that for my job function I chose Other because I don’t want them to pinpoint who I am. I’m leaving on my owns terms, not because they can’t handle the truth. Our recruiter has reached out to several people to post positive reviews to offset the negative ones. That made me cringe. And that should tell you everything you need to know. You’ll also notice that all of their replies to the negative reviews are cookie-cutter responses. Just ridiculous.

We understand everyone’s experience is individual to them. However, some of the claims in this review are inaccurate. RETTEW’s return-to-office transition was a big change, and our leadership recognizes it hasn’t been easy for everyone. We also acknowledge the process for rolling out the new policy could have gone better. That said, our decision to bring employees back to the office three days a week was made thoughtfully, with input from multiple levels of the company. To clarify our approach to Glassdoor reviews, long before our return-to-office transition, RETTEW periodically reminded employees that reviews on platforms like Glassdoor are helpful for conveying their experiences working at RETTEW, good and bad. Those reminders always encouraged open, authentic input. We stand by our commitment to respectful dialogue and to rebuilding trust through action, not rumor. We know not every workplace is the right fit for everyone, and we wish anyone moving on continued success. We’re focused on listening, improving communication, and shaping the company’s future.

Pros

Since joining RETTEW in July of 2025, I've immersed myself within the organization to learn about its people, its history, the evolutions of the organization and its current state. I am still fully convinced my arrival at RETTEW is very much characterized by a RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME story arc. This organization is experiencing a transformation that is exciting, fulfilling and full of opportunity. In my experience, leadership is genuinely open to feedback, and members of the entire organization are heard regardless of title. My experience here has been what I've made it, and I am grateful I've chosen to engage, invest and grow my career here right now and into the future.

Cons

Change can be hard. Processes are always improving. With growth sometimes comes uncertainty. This will always be true, and it will be felt by those who are new to the organization when they engage with those who have been around. There is wisdom to be gained from our experiences.

Pros

They pay you every two weeks, have an ESOP and some of the people are great to work with.

Cons

About a year ago things change at Rettew, they decided to end working fully remote and switched to a hybrid model. People spoke out, concerns were ignored and the plan pushed forward, the brainchild of the new COO who is basically a corporate stiff that closes himself off to everyone and makes decisions based on statistics and articles. They ignored everyone, well, they pretended to listen and implemented the hybrid policy over several months and said that we'd have compassionate leadership that listens to us as we navigate the return to office. Corporate lingo basically, just to try and make us feel better about a change we were all against. Many people left the company and yet they didn't change their minds. They plunged ahead with their ill conceived plan.

Thank you for sharing this; it’s clear the transition to hybrid work was frustrating, and we understand why that felt like a big change for some of our employees. We know how important it is for our employees to feel heard, especially during shifts like this. We appreciate the time you spent with RETTEW and wish you all the best moving forward.
