Pros
The office is verry nice and everyone is very welcoming and supportive, everyone was willing to answer all my questions and help me walk through the systems and how to complete the work and gave positive feedback. Also supportive of work life balance, I had some health issues with a pet and was supported to take time off or work from home when needed without any push back or issues. the pay was high for internships as well, ($23 p/hr.)
Cons
was supposed to be split between Commercial and Tribal audit teams but didn't switch till after the 8-week mark (on a 12-week program), and once I switched the new team didn't really know what to do with me. I spent a lot of time idle waiting for work and not being communicated with. I found my own work and tried to communicate what documents I knew how to complete but was only given one task at a time, and then sat waiting up to an hour for my next one. Everyone works differently and that's fine, but I wish the other team was properly prepared to work with me and was more organized; or that the switch wouldn't have happened. I only spent 3 weeks on the other team but in that time I actually felt like I was set back in my learning.
