Pros
The reputation of R/GA in the marketplace is great. They are fantastic at PR and that creates a certain image about the company and people who work there.
Cons
First, it's a sweatshop. I had never worked that hard in my life. After sleeping in the office for two weeks, I went to my boss to ask for 1 or 2 comp days for the people on the team. The answer was simply "no." Second: titles are so inflated. Someone who was a mediocre art director at one shop went to R/GA to become an Executive Creative Director at R/GA (yes, ECD - they have like 40 ECDs in NY alone). Third, the management layer is so think that if you are joining the company, you are just one of the hundreds of minions that rotate in and out. Fourth, the pay was horrible. Period. Finally, if you work at R/GA, you just accept the fact that you work FOR (not with) Bob Greenberg and to make HIM rich and famous, not you.
