Pros
The interview process was positive, and the leadership role appeared to offer meaningful opportunities for growth. Compensation and benefits were competitive on paper.
Cons
I was told credentialing would take approximately three months, but the process extended beyond that estimate. During that time, I was unable to begin working or complete meaningful onboarding, leaving me in limbo. Communication throughout the process was poor, and it was extremely difficult to obtain updates despite repeated follow-ups. The role was presented as a Clinical Director position, but the productivity expectations appeared difficult to reconcile with the leadership responsibilities. The required weekly patient caseload left little time for director-level duties such as staff support, program development, quality improvement, and other administrative responsibilities expected of a leadership role. When I ultimately accepted another position because I could no longer wait through the prolonged credentialing process, the company’s response was to point to a contract provision seeking $5,000 in damages related to credentialing and onboarding costs, despite the fact that I had never started working. Overall, the hiring process lacked transparency and communication, and the response to my resignation felt unnecessarily adversarial.
