Pros
I love working for Protocall Services! So glad I am able to part of the team. Really great support from our supervisors and shift leadership. Benefits are great! 401k plan, student loan and tuition reimbursement. Low cost healthcare. Life insurance included. Many options for add on things. PTO bank is really good!! They give a very generous amount of PTO. Easy to get days off if you ask in advance. CEO’s at the company are approachable and will respond to your emails. Direct supervisors are very responsive and supportive. Six week training program prepares you very well. 24/7 call center which means there is always extra work to be picked up. So many opportunities to make extra money. Flexible work schedules with your preferred shifts. After a year of employment you can go down to part time. Full time hours are considered full time at 40 hours OR 32 hours per week which is great. Shift differentials for the weekend and nights is great. Working from home is super nice and they send you all the equipment you will need for the job. IT is very responsive and helpful. They are constantly adding new accounts which feels good because it’s job security for everyone. The work itself is rewarding and we are REALLY helping people in their times of need. Consultation requirements can seem micromanaging but they are really there to make sure you feel supported and that we are supporting our clients in a consistent way. So much support on shift. Tons of opportunity to advance in the company if that is what you are seeking.
Cons
Pay for a licensed clinician could be better in my opinion. Not the fault of management, but the job can be very stressful. We are definitely a mix of 911 and mental health and some calls can be very intense.
