Pros
Overall good work environment. Coworkers, supervisors, and boss are all very nice. Pay is good. I love all my clients.
Cons
Hours are inconsistent and I have last minute cancellations on a regular basis. Because I don’t get enough hours I do not qualify for any benefits. I feel as if I’m kept under a certain amount of hours so I don’t qualify for these benefits. If appointment is canceled the day before there is no compensation, only 1/2 your hourly rate if it’s a same day cancellation. It is a very independent roll, you are the middleman between clients and scheduling and management. You are also responsible for charting all of your worked hours and assuring that your schedule looks correct and confirming your own appointments with your clients. HR could have better people/soft skills and better communication between the employees, scheduling, and management. I feel like HR is either too hands off on certain concerns or coming onto strong and accusatory in small situations. Lots of miscommunication. Have to learn complicated software and formatting, it took a couple months to get the hang of. I have had to make a case for fair compensation on several different occasions. When you do in-home therapy and the hourly compensation for driving between clients houses is not competitive.
