Pros
I do honestly think that the owner and director of this business have good intentions. It’s just unfortunate that, because they’re steering away from the day to day runnings of the business, this means most situations are handled by newer senior management, most of the time are disloyal and cold-hearted. Some of the things I did really enjoy about working at ProMedical, and always praised them for when recruiting for them, was the ‘family feel’ across the entire office, the constant opportunity to try new things or widen your experiences and the fact that the CEO always showed his open mindedness and support. Unfortunately all those areas have now disappeared.
Cons
I really don’t think asking a member of your new team to spy on another colleague, for your own benefit, is a loyal or trustworthy way of working... It actually leaves massive questions around trust, ‘people first’, or your SMT working with your company values in mind! Unfortunately ProMedical are one of many companies who have used the pandemic as a reason to let go half of their employees (fair enough if that’s what you need to do to succeed), it’s just a shame they’re using poor communication skills & cop-out excuses/lies for why they’re having to do it. Also, the comment from someone’s recent review about people who were ‘down and out anyway’ and had ‘no intention of putting the work in’ just shows the companies true mentality!
