Great people, great work life balance

Low salaries as a non profit, small organization so lack of further career opportunities

P+P is a wonderful non-profit company with a great mission of offering free tax preparation and financial counseling to low to middle income people. There is a core team of full time employees, many more seasonal paid employees during tax season, and several hundred skilled, trained volunteer tax preparers and financial advisors during tax season. The management and full time staff really make the volunteers and seasonal staff feel appreciated and empowered. Tax prep can be very complicated, but volunteers are encouraged to seek help whenever a question arises. It’s very interesting and rewarding to work with so many different people needing tax and financial help.

There are a few clinics during the off season, but I wish there was more off season work. But this is the nature of tax preparation and can't really be changed by the organization.
