Pros

Get to work with awesome kids and families and other dedicated professionals who truly love helping others

Cons

Poor management, expensive benefits, lots of staff turn over, not being able to get necessary materials to complete the job, not being provided with documentation time, high concentration on productivity and low quality and consistency of services, low salary and raises, short amount of vacation time when starting out...the list goes on and on. Unfortunately this company burns its therapists out. Would be an okay job for a recent grad who needs to get their foot in the door and plans to leave after a year.

Pros

The new management of the company who started last year has been working hard to make positive changes in the company related to benefits, education, documentation, etc and have already started implementing changes! I have also been given opportunities for leadership that I would not expected with just 3 years of job experience. The staff in the company are all so welcoming and a pleasure to spend time with, no matter what office you are in!

Cons

Sometimes you are asked to help cover other offices for maternity leaves, etc but they strive to make sure the office is logistically close to you!

Pros

Amazing coworkers, patients, and families.

Cons

Positive Steps has an incredible amount of turn over. They tend to prey on new grads, pay them very little, and burn them out until they finally quit. I’ve witnessed coworkers spending their own money buying resources because the office had hardly any materials. Coworkers would stay an hour or more later each night finishing paperwork after a 10+ hour day. The company needs to train managers and have better hours and working conditions to keep quality therapists. Families have been fed up with the amount of turnover.
