Was a great employer with a clear vision of its business goals. Employee involvement was a good part of it. Was able to shine by doing what I could do best and felt gratification and appreciation by contributing to the company’s success.

Its business plan faltered. Too much attention is being placed on saving money instead of making profits, as well as sharing fairly with its employees who are the key to the company’s success. Not a socially responsible company. Your employees rely on you as much as you rely on them. Treat them as family. Portola is part if their family.
