Pros
- Quitting - Having entertaining horror stories to tell
Cons
Where to begin? During a recent mass exodus of staff, people's leaving speeches regularly told "funny" anecdotes of outgoing employees crying or breaking down at their desks. If that's not a red flag, not sure what is! People are some of the rudest, most self-entitled people I've ever come across. Zero manners or concern for others' wellbeing, just self-aggrandizing egomaniacs who think they're a lot smarter than they really are. People stay at Portland for years despite the dire company culture and miserable prospects because they think it's a great stepping stone. In reality, it's turning more toxic by the day and I imagine it will encounter the same fate as Bell Pottinger before too long. If you have morals, don't bother coming to Portland. You'll be asked to work on some questionable clients. Any moral objections will be disregarded.
