I love working at Port! It embodies everything I love about being at a startup. Every action from each team member has an immediate impact, and I truly feel like I can move the needle. I feel seen, trusted, and appreciated. I really enjoy my teammates and the company culture.
Yes, not everything is planned out 6 months in advance, and sometimes priorities change and you need to adapt. But so does the market. At Port, I feel we’re agile and able to respond quickly rather than getting stuck in bureaucracy.
Leadership is a message away and welcomes every employee's ideas and feedback. I don’t think many employees can say they have that level of access and direct communication at other places. It’s one of the things that makes Port such a special place to work.
Cons
I think working on a fast paced startup is not for everyone. Hours can be longer than your typical 9-5 and processes are still not fully mapped out. Can be frustrating but also can give you a chance to help map them out and have an impact.
