Pros
- Beautiful onsite office at the beach - The cleaning lady (Ivette) is a sweetheart - Great cook (Elisabeth) - There has finally been a change of leadership - The self management journey has improved, things work better now - There have been good new hires who bring new energy and intellect (!) to the field - Ideal work/life balance - Easy-going work culture (could be a con too) - VERY independent work style - Lots of diverse people. I don't personally care, but I can imagine this is important to some other people
Cons
- The majority of the people working in the company are soft, get easily offended and hurt and can't take no for an answer - A good chunk of the people working in this company behave like children. They can't communicate and can't keep deadlines in mind - Missing accountability culture. If you want to turn up to the office and do nothing for 8 hours, you can. And nobody will really care - Personal con: Not enough onsite people. Too many people never show up to the office (even if they live in Barcelona) and that can cause some cultural imbalances - The evaluation system is a calamity and causes every employee to spend hours on hours writing evaluation essays on colleagues they don't care about - There are too many processes and MEETINGS that are a total waste of time like evaluation, global calls and nonsense workshops - Compensation is a massive downside. There's never enough budget for people to get more than a 3k raise (some people only got a 1k raise last round!) and transparent salaries are not the answer and never will be. - Gossip and drama culture. BECAUSE there are so many easily offended and soft people, dramas frequently occur, also because there hasn't been proper leadership for some time. - Many times the feeling coming down from the leadership is that it's ok to settle for being mediocre and there's a lack of ambition from both the leaders and sometimes from the employees (though usually from leaders) - Huge lack of desire to be innovative, something that also trickles down from the leaders
