Pixmania used to be leader in it's business and has been through some tough times lately. It is still early to know if the company will ever be profitable again. However, great effort is put into the company to create an ethical place to work and employees are slowly gaining the trust they might have lost. The offices are nice and you will NEVER find such a friendly atmosphere, anywhere else. Your colleagues will probably become your friends.

There have been some tough times and the French never forget. Many of them will still complain of past management. They are not all mistaken, some managers are left behind from the pre-Dixons era where friends were recruited at ridiculous salaries. They are not always the best at what they do... Also, the company is putting effort into new career plans; I have not seen them yet so cannot judge. You used to only stay 2 to 4 years then leave.

They hire plenty of young people and give them a chance in a tough job market, it is also a good name to have on the CV.

Middle management have little or no clue about planning and how to treat their subordinates, subordinates are given little positive feedback and are generally speaking treated as robots, and employee turnover is therefore very high. Salary is below the mean compared to the industry
