Cons
The engineering department takes its orders from the Chief Development Officer (CDO), an Industrial Designer. Although there are attempts to follow standard toll gate procedures, designs are passed on from the CDO to product development already in development with no input from engineering. No proof of concept. Just here it is, make it work, and here's the date we need it. I never saw the CDO accept an idea that was not his own. Primary motivation-FEAR.
