Pros
The team at PinkNews are a very welcoming, spirited, positive bunch and it’s a pleasure to work with such creative and inspiring people every day. Over the past few years I’ve seen PinkNews go through some ups and downs but on the whole the journey has been a positive one. Over time the senior leaders have got better at listening to employees, they have learnt from past mistakes and more energy is being spent on empowering people to be their true and best selves. There are lots of opportunities to learn new skills and it feels like you are making a positive difference to the world. My team are very autonomous, we’ve had the freedom to develop our own ways of working and have seen our productivity and general work happiness benefit because of this.
Cons
PinkNews is a small company in terms of size, but with very big ideas!! On the one hand this creates a fast-paced, energetic work environment with lots of opportunity but the downside is it sometimes feels like the company takes on more than it can chew with unrealistic short term targets.
