Pros
Floor staff were nice to work with.
Cons
The worst management experience I’ve ever had in my four years of working in hospitality. There is a ‘probation’ period which was never disclosed and feedback not given while questions were also dodged when informed that you did not pass ‘probation’ creating a feeling of discrimination and favouritism towards staff from management. A point to note - not all new staff had undergone this probation meaning the process was selective further feeding to bias displayed from management and training was not provided at all. From the interview process to starting the role there is no communication between management and the new starter creating a sense of disregard for staff. Despite the management being nice people, there is a big lack of professionalism displayed from them for what is suppose to be a four star hotel. Another con is that the dinner shift hours are also pretty bad with the average shift starting at 6/7pm and finishing at 12/1am despite the role being advertised as an 8 hour shift.
