Pros

-Clear mission and vision with regard to wanting to help patients access medication -Good work life balance. We are NOT a family here and thats a good thing -Highly autonomous, high trust environment. When hired, you're essentially brought on to do a specific job and that is the expectation -Fast paced: this can be both a pro and a con, I personally love being in more rapid development type environments but it can create its own challenges

Cons

-Growing pain: I think one of the challenges that Phil is running into is how to grow and scale sustainably without burning out existing team members -Fast paced: Again, pro and con here, this type of speed can mean rapid iteration AND it can create burnout or messy situations from a product and people perspective -Culture needs some TLC: Culture happens from a top down perspective and one of the challenges has been that leadership has been so focused on building Phil (product/business functions etc) that it can have a negative down stream effect on employees.

Pros

Collaborative, focused, "get-it-done" culture. Day-to-day feels directly connected with the company mission. Everyone is working toward common goals, and teams are always willing to help each other out to make things happen.

Cons

Too many layers and approval processes for the size of the company, creating unnecessary overhead for planning, prioritization, and execution. Lack of transparency into roles and responsibilities for execs / teams makes it difficult to navigate the organization at times.

Pros

Talented Peers: The individual contributors here are some of the brightest in the industry. You will work with people who genuinely care about the product and each other.

Cons

Lack of Timezone Boundaries: While the company hires across the US, there is zero respect for local working hours. Meetings at unusual hours are a frequent occurrence. Asynchronous communication is non-existent or vague. Cycle of Perpetual Layoffs: The organization seems to be in a constant state of restructuring. Layoffs occur with such regularity that it has destroyed institutional knowledge and decimated morale. It’s hard to focus on long-term roadmaps when you’re wondering if your team will exist next quarter. "Always-On" Expectation: Due to the timezone issues and lean staffing, there is a heavy pressure to be available 24/7. Burnout isn't a possibility here,it’s an eventuality.
