Micro-manager NOT leaders fill key roles in the department. Lack of appreciation of employee positive contribution. Mindset of the department has taken on a “be happy you have a job” culture. Newer Managment have yet to acknowledge one thing the team does well. We are a highly effective team given the resource and pay constraints we have. I was just on a meeting where my team was berated for not communication or educating our manager on things she doesn’t know. We don’t know what she doesn’t know, she doesn’t communicate with us. No accountability is had on their levels. I would not advise working for this department. They mention they do not get respect but have yet to do anything to earn respect. Older Managment does not understand technology and blames things on employees. They listen to defend and not to understand. They stifle ideas, suggestions, and innovation. We no longer speak in meetings.
