Pros
Western culture Because America is the major market of the company, the business partners bring in the Western culture in the daily routine. Unlike the Asian working place, the conversation is very straightforward and result-driven. Emphasize on teamwork The company is in a flat hierarchy, with only top management, team leads, and team members. A team member is assigned to a couple of projects running in parallel. And in each project, the team member has the chance to work with different parties and learn from different people. Accept errors The company values creativity, much over than industry knowledge. It allows "try and error". If you can follow the company direction, you will have autonomy in your task. Fast-growing This is a fast-growing company, in terms of both revenues and headcounts. So, it also requires the employee to learn fast and work in an efficient way. If you can grow as fast as the company, you will gain more experience than other workplaces. However, if you are a slow learner, lazy, and just want to find a leisure job, here is not suitable for you. (Another review said that it requires the staff to have OT. In my observation, this is upon the employee himself.)
Cons
(Cons -- I would rephrase to "Challenges" here) Cross-department communication Each department (or we call "team" in the company) is composed of team members with different expertise. This company requires the employees to have good inter-team communication skills. These are two main obstacles: the thinking process and perception. Imagine the thinking process of an engineer could be very different from marketing staff. Also, it is very challenging to deal with some elder colleagues. Because they would have more perception and lack of patience to listen.
