Pros
Headquarters gives the SEA team full trust in handling our responsibilities. Our SEA Partner in the US is also very results oriented and does not micromanage, which I truly value in my day to day work. Work-life balance is genuinely respected in this company. There is a clear understanding that performance matters, but personal time is also important. Calls during holidays or weekends are very rare and only happen when something is truly urgent. In my 6 years here, I can probably count on one hand how many times that has happened. The management is very compliant with labor regulations in Indonesia and respects government policies. This creates a sense of security for employees. To me, the culture feels like a mix of American openness and Japanese professionalism. There is room to speak up, but at the same time, strong work ethics and respect are always maintained. Leaders are genuinely open to new ideas. Suggestions are not only heard but often implemented. I remember once asking our SEA Partner in the US about hiring a person with a disability, and he was fully supportive of the idea. He values people based on their capabilities, not physical limitations, and that response made me respect him even more. After 6 years here, I can say the environment promotes trust, responsibility, and professionalism.
Cons
It would be great to introduce a hybrid work option, especially on days when early morning meetings are required due to time zone differences. Additional benefits and a clearer bonus structure would make the overall compensation package more competitive.
