Pros

- Good benefits - Good location, occasional events, etc. - Professional development if you choose to exercise it

Cons

- The worst HR department I have ever dealt with (local dept that is; national ESC is pretty good) - Ineffective managers retained and promoted - Inability to retain quality employees -- some were let go (???), some left because they weren't challenged - Micro-management. Goal posts constantly shifting. Upper level politics filtering down to new employees, tainting our performance and creating additional burdens during peak busy season - A hundred different data systems, most of which are antiquated but have a respectable face-lift. Different teams clinging to their technologies to stave off irrelevance

Pros

When a project goes according to plan you can work with some great people and make decent money.

Cons

Bad behavior is tolerated when you have a weak team member. They are allowed to remain on payroll, even if they do not effectively contribute. The burden is often placed on the team members willing to pick up the slack. Promotions are not given to the most qualified. They are randomly assigned. There are some horrible scoring directors as a result.
