Pros

-You can meet some good people -Just like any other job you have some good co workers -Making tips (sometimes)

Cons

-They claim to take pride in working around people's lifestyles and having flexible schedules but that is not true. -Management has no clue what they are doing. They are not properly trained. -Don't even bother with the HR department. They are all inept, except maybe one of them. They will always side with the managers. -Managers delegate their work to hourly employees, but do not offer those employees credit. -There are little, to no advancement opportunities. -Don't expect getting a schedule at a regular time every week, this concept is lost on the site managers.

Pros

One of the best part-time jobs I've had. I was a valet at an upscale steakhouse and made great tips a lot of the time. We pooled all of the tips, so nobody ever had an extremely bad night. The supervisors were laid back guys and treated me as an equal. The scheduling was somewhat flexible for weekdays. Fridays and Saturdays were often not optional, but I would usually make a ton of money on those nights so it was worth it. Our supervisors would send people home early and we could volunteer to stay and make more money or leave a lot of the time. You also get to drive some sweet cars, be outside and get exercise, and there is some downtime here and there if it's not a busy night.

Cons

Often worked long shifts with not many chances for breaks, though the occasional downtime gives you a chance to rest and have a snack if you need. Very low base pay, so if you work in a bad location you might not be payed well. Can be very stressful on busy nights (such as New Years or July 4th) and traffic may prevent you from doing your job well.
