Pros

Many super smart people work at Parity Interesting protocols Interesting code base with clever solutions

Cons

The Polkadot SDK codebase is hard to work with, Rust Analyzer is broken, compilation takes 20+min on state of the art machines. Leadership is somewhat lacking

Pros

tech is some of the best in the industry. had a lot of autonomy and felt respected. amazing boss and teammates, people generally very nice. worked on interesting and challenging problems with really smart and hard-working people. a lot of great benefits, including awesome retreats (not sure if they still do those).

Cons

some questionable decisions by upper management in 2023. hopefully they got their act together and are more fiscally responsible now.

Pros

If you would like to be part of a sycophantic cult, this is the place for you. Also if you have very few real-world qualifications and like to talk big, they'll believe you and hire you, likely promote you just for being there.

Cons

Absolutely no direction, no plan, no strategies. Full of crypto bro behaviour, very passive aggressive COO who hires friends and they all do nothing but gossip and pick favourites, promoting very junior staff to roles they are not qualified for because they are loyal and will say yes to whatever is asked. No thought process needed. Lots of DEI talk but the atmosphere is worse than pediatric cancer hospital. Speaking of Pediatrics that's a topic CEO Gavin Wood seems to like to write bizarre essays about. However, mention his name at Parity and employees eyes roll back and they fall into a state of hypnosis ! what a joke, most of the qualified people there are all looking for work elsewhere
