Business outlook
Pros
They were pretty flexible about what time I showed up in the morning and, although it became less and less true as I neared the end of my tenure there, I was given a good degree of flexibility to work from home as needed.
Cons
Managers had limited understanding of software development processes, there wasn't any source control, project management was haphazard and rushed, every project, bug, and/or feature was considered an emergency of dire import, pressure to complete projects within unrealistic time frames was continuous, and major software changes were requested with whimsical disregard for the developers' time and effort. Despite all this, projects we developed were frequently left unused after completion.
