Pros
Was once a great company. A really great company. They still had a core of loyal and hardworking people that made it a decent place to work.
Cons
Sirius Capital recently sold PGi to another Private Equity firm (CEO Rick Mace, was “delighted” to tell us about it on email on his way out the door). The new owners immediately changed severance policy (which had been 1 week per year of service) to nothing. They then proceeded to lay off all the loyal and hard working people that made the place decent. Like 100 people in the last 2 days, including engineering, sales, Global Service Management, SE’s, product, and support. People who worked there for 10, 15, or 20 years. They all got nothing - no 2 weeks, no medical for a month, no severance, nothing. PGi has had layoffs in the past (a number of them) but they always tried to do their best to give people a soft landing. For all intensive purposes, PGi is pretty much a dead company.... Consider this as an obituary.
