Pros

Company Culture: The team is brilliant, approachable, and genuinely kind. You’ll learn a lot from your coworkers. The company also hosts bi-weekly game sessions to help everyone unwind and have fun together. The founders are easy to get along with. Workload: If you enjoy learning new things and exploring areas outside your expertise, you’ll find the work engaging. There’s no time tracker, which encourages trust and flexibility. Benefits: The company offers a fully remote setup, so you can work from anywhere with a stable internet connection and a laptop/computer. They also provide unlimited PTO, as long as your tasks are completed and nothing is pending before you take time off. Salary/Compensation: The pay is fair for an entry-level or first job, and it’s a good opportunity to gain valuable experience.

Cons

Benefits: There are no additional benefits such as HMO, internet, or tech allowances. The only benefit offered is unlimited PTO. Compensation: There are no performance-based or annual salary increases, even for long-term employees. Bonuses such as a 13th-month pay or internet allowance are not provided. Workload: You may be assigned tasks outside your original job description, often described as upskilling. While this can be a learning opportunity, it can also be overwhelming since you need to adapt quickly to new responsibilities. The workload and pressure do not align with the compensation. Training for unfamiliar tasks is minimal, and you are generally expected to learn independently. The fast-paced startup environment can make juggling multiple tasks even more challenging. Company Structure: The company has a flat structure with no senior leadership or managerial roles. This limits career growth and can make responsibilities, decision-making, and accountability unclear. There is also no formal HR, so all management decisions come directly from the founders. Job Security: Job security is very limited, and terminations can occur on the same day.
