Pros
It's a really exciting time for us at the moment as we prepare to launch an amazing product, everyone here is so passionate about it, and the people are great. I've worked in banking and FS and although I enjoyed my previous roles, I love this one so much more. I can be as creative as I want, and people are so friendly and work hard but most of all they're nice good people. Yes there are sometimes when it gets tough, but that's because everyone is working on launching a product together. However, tough at Orwell doesn't even come close to some of the bad times I've had in previous companies. If you want a good environment, and want to work with some really nice dedicated people who are working on a really creative product then Orwell is definitely the place to be, oh and my ideas are always heard and taken on board, and I'm loving the Agile environment. Working hours are good too, I'm trusted and if I need to leave early due to personal reasons they're always accommodating.
Cons
we had to go through a restructure last June when we ended a partnership with an outsourced company. They acted unprofessionally and things were a little bit rocky, but since the partnership ended last June, new management has been brought in who have literally transformed the place and brought the project back to life again.
