Pros

Some coworkers were very talented, kind, and cool. Great benefits. Big name clients. Opportunities to shape your own role and position in the company

Cons

Bullying, favoritism, lots of gossiping on Slack, unexpected layoffs, empty promises from management, total lack of transparency, the definition of a toxic workplace. Leadership would regularly hold meetings where the CEO told the whole company that we were not doing enough and that none of us understood how hard it was for him to run the business. These meetings often ended with tears, low morale, and a general message of "We don't know if this business will survive." No HR since 2019 (?) . Leadership claimed to be looking for a replacement, but instead hired the CEO's mom to assist with payroll. I think we all hoped she would also be filling in as HR, but she ended up being more of a bully than a confidante. Most importantly, leadership does not value the mental health of their employees. During my time at Dose/Orchard, I witnessed multiple coworkers experience mental breakdowns. Several of them actually reached out for help but were given no support and ultimately lost their jobs suddenly and unexpectedly. There should be a support group for past employees of this company.

Pros

Decent perks and wonderful, hardworking coworkers pre company buy out

Cons

-Burn out -Unprofessional conduct -Too many jobs and skillsets/“hats” to manage -Work is tedious and boring: was largely automated towards end of my tenure and felt like an assembly line -Not a place for creatives. If you want to use and grow your skillset, this is not for you. -If you want to juggle 6+ “creative campaigns” per week that really just involve slapping mediocre assets together and saying “that’ll do”, you’ll love it. -Company was bought out, majority of original Chicago office laid off -No diversity, mainly white with a few token POC thrown in for optics
