Pros
Because it is an online company - employees are allowed to work from home - which is a huge plus. Great vacation policy - and still some travel perks. Lots of innovative ideas (just not easy to get them implemented). Most of my peers are great folks to work with - very dedicated. Benifits are very good ( medical/dental). 401K average in this rough financial world.
Cons
Because employees can work from home - or are home-based - there is a very thin line between work time and home life (in the non-IT world anyway) - that is required to get the job done. After the reduction in work force in Nov 08 and Jan 09 - most non-IT departments are running very slim on staff to accomplish the same tasks as before the layoffs. Also - in an effort to recapture market share - it seems as if Senior managment is grasping at ideas to try. With the new management - seems as if we are doing a complete 180 on many of our processes. Continual changes in testing procedures and reporting/tracking products make getting enhancements and changes difficult and very slow. Reconize, utilize and keep key employees.
