Pros
There was a lot that needed to be done. I felt like I was making a difference building out resources for the company. I liked the people I worked with and felt purposeful.
Cons
Family run business. The CEO makes things up, doesn't provide the resources people need to do the job well, and doesn't value skilled people. Hires a lot of associates from a previous company even if they were not qualified for the work. The main product is based on Sage with their own customization. The new "marketplace" isn't really a marketplace and is not well thought out. The engineering team doesn't have enough direction. Releases slip, and then the CEO pushes for a release ready or not. Very little internal expertise about the product, most of the people have never even logged in to look at the product. They just go by the CEOs abhorently long videos about everything it is going to do. One of his webinars was so full of nonsense that they couldn't send it out to registrants after the webinar. The pay is also way under market, which is why they like to hire junior people that don't have much real world experience. They have high turnover, probably the low pay and the CEO's ego getting in the way and deciding that no one understands the product or industry the way he does.
