Pros

There are many talented professionals within the company; however, cross-functional collaboration can be challenging. Key resources are often difficult to reach or unavailable, which makes project management harder when timely responses and engagement are needed.

Cons

The work environment tends to be highly micromanaged, with limited autonomy or trust in employees’ output. Project transitions are often not handled effectively, and there appears to be a culture of blame and negative feedback. Resources are frequently reassigned across projects without clear communication or proper involvement from Project Management.

Pros

Good pay. Good on site team leadership and project management. Even tho it was a contract with a definite end date, The Optimum leadership made you feel like a valued employee not just a temporary hired hand.

Cons

None I can really think of, there was some overnight work that was needed which was not my choice, but it was made clear to us in the offer that after hours work may be needed during the project.

Pros

Good way to gain entry into the world of Healthcare IT, and depending on the client, a good way to get your foot in the door with a high quality organization where you may otherwise not have had the opportunity.

Cons

You are nothing more than the product optimum is delivering to the client. They try and make you believe they are on your side in regards certain disparities that may take place while doing your job, but all that matters at the end of the day is if they are meeting the clients needs. So just keep that in mind. The contract you commit to is ridiculous. My contract was only 1 year but most are 2 years. If you quit or get terminated prior to that contract ending, you must pay back $10,000 to optimum to cover the cost of training. It's probably the craziest contract I've ever seen for employment, so just be aware of that before signing.
