Pros

Lots of energy and talk, and actually a lot of work getting done. Very supportive work environment as long as you're trying. Good for younger/new employees.

Cons

Benefits were mediocre: Health ins was miserable. No retirement contribution. Career-wise, not good for those with more experience. CEO only allows projects that come from his brain, outside ideas are not welcome, even though you are expected to come up with them. If your project idea isn't exactly in line with his, it will be killed. Very frustrating experience. As a company, it's probably not going anywhere. Too much competition and although Ontraport tech is good, it's impossible to stand out in the crowd. The President isn't a terrible person, but she has no positive impact on the company and has a history of running off women she perceives as a threat to her. Nobody knows what she does, and the CEO constantly has to remind employees she is worthy of the position. Because a majority of the employees are younger, there is a prevalent party culture (some might view that as a Pro, I guess).

Pros

- Unique challenges with lots of opportunities for engaging Problem solving - Working with really cool people, I've made very close friends here - Personally had a lot of opportunity for growth thanks to my work ethic

Cons

- As a small company, sometimes you have to wear a lot of hats. This can be a blessing and a curse - Smaller team with lots of work to be done

Pros

Beautiful campus with stunning views of the Santa Barbara area Talented and supportive coworkers

Cons

Unstable leadership and lack of transparency Inconsistent enforcement of performance policies Declining workplace culture Reward system favors conformity over merit Rising employee health care costs with lackluster benefits When I first joined Ontraport, the company showed promise with a more supportive culture and clearer communication. Unfortunately, over time, leadership became increasingly unstable and less transparent about impactful business decisions. Policies around employee performance were not applied consistently, and there was a growing disconnect between the company’s stated values and its actions. A healthy workplace culture has become virtually non-existent, with only those who echo leadership's views being recognized or rewarded. Additionally, the burden of rising health care costs has been shifted to employees, despite the mediocre benefits. With an indefinite hiring freeze and unresolved internal issues, I would not recommend applying at this time.
