Pros
OnBoard Media will pay for travel, housing, and meals while you are training in Miami Beach and New York. (They will not cover the cost of baggage when you fly and you will most likely share a room when training.)
Cons
This company offers little to no training and may assign you a ship only to fire you a few weeks later for poor performance. (Not my opinion or an isolated incidence. This is widely known in the industry.) Many of the clothing items required for the job were not used. OnBoard Media's motto is "Fake it til you make it". Management is 20- & 30-somethings who were successful Port Shopping Guides with no formal training in training, customer service, or best business practices. If you are looking for a work/life balance this is not the job for you, that kind of attitude is not for ship life.
