While I can't speak for many "cons" I feel I must give some constructive criticism as nothing and nobody is perfect. There are many times where we are mistaken for "sales people" trying to make a profit or gain a commission. With the field we work in, clientele often have a hard time hearing and therefore understanding, and this makes it very hard to explain that I am not "selling" anything and that I am indeed helping them. Likewise, it is just as difficult to convince their doctors of this, and often more difficult to convince them to help people just as I do. With that being said, the challenge of these things never deters me from my work, and I often feel it helps inspire me to keep going. There is no greater feeling than hearing people and doctors tell me how grateful they are for the work I do, and I do not mind at all having to earn that.
