Pros
-Union -Good coworkers -Remote -Flexible policies (thanks to the union!)
Cons
-They only raise they'll give you is the union-required raise, which they are legally obligated to give people. Otherwise they won't give you any type of raise or promotion, even after years of working there -They'll string you along as a contractor/on a contract for MONTHS, if not YEARS, before they'll make you full time -Your job can have so many responsibilities and trusted with lots of duties but you could still be the lowest paid person in the "newsroom" -Editorial strategy changes every week -Workflow changes (basically going with the "fix what isn't broken" strategy) every 2 seconds, and usually they make everything worse -Upper management has little to no diversity
